Resorption
Here is a case of Internal Resorption in a central incisor that previously had an all-ceramic restoration. Older generations of all-ceramic crowns dictated quite heavy reduction. This can stress the pulp of the tooth leading to necrosis (see adjacent teeth) or resorption-as in this case. Fortunately, with internal resorption we can often save the tooth with endodontic therapy and a conservative restoration.
