Meet The Conroe TX Endodontist
Dr. Gregory Ellis was born and raised in Slidell, LA where he spent many days in the swamps and rivers of South Louisiana hunting and fishing. He did his undergraduate studies in Psychology at LSU in Baton Rouge and received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1992. After serving as Director of an inner city dental clinic for 3 years, he opened his private practice in Baton Rouge. During this time he participated in several mission trips to Jamaica and Mexico and taught senior dental students at LSU’s School of Dentistry. In 2001, he received the opportunity to specialize at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dentistry’s Endodontic Specialty program. This prestigious program was founded by Dr. Herb Schilder, a world-renowned endodontist whose techniques are now taught by most endodontic programs around the world. As part of his studies, Dr. Ellis conducted research on dental stem cells and presented the results of this research at both the International Association of Dental Researchers and the American Association of Endodontics as well as to the faculty and graduate students at Harvard University.

Dr. Ellis has limited his practice exclusively to endodontics since 2001 and has practiced in Conroe since 2005. He is a member of a number of organizations including The American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, the Brazos Valley Dental Society, the Houston Academy of Endodontists, Seattle Study Club of The Woodlands and the LSU School of Dentistry’s Committee of 100.
Dr. Ellis has devoted his professional career to all aspects of endodontic practice with special interest in treatment that involves the use of MTA to save teeth that, until recently, would have been lost.
When away from the office Dr. Ellis likes to golf, restore golf equipment, spend time with his family and explore the outdoors. He’s been happily married to his beautiful wife, Chantal, since 1992 and they have 2 wonderful and successful children and 5 dogs! Recently, they welcomed a new grandbaby!
